Ripped Apart: Angela Ware’s Fight to Reunite with Her Daughters

💔 A Mother’s Cry: Angela Ware’s Fight Against CPS, False Allegations, and Family Separation

At TeflonRadio, we use our platform not just to entertain, but to empower. Today, we bring you a story that demands to be heard, a story that is raw, real, and tragically familiar to too many. This is the story of Angela Ware, a mother from our own community, who found herself in the middle of a nightmare: falsely accused, legally outmaneuvered, and separated from the very children she worked so hard to protect.

The Day Her Life Changed Forever

Angela Ware was a mother doing everything she could to care for and protect her daughters. She never imagined that one day, her children would be taken from her, not by violence or tragedy, but by the very system meant to keep families safe.

It all started when her oldest daughter made an allegation of molestation against her father. The accusation was devastating but was later proven false. Still, the involvement of Child Protective Services (CPS) opened a door that Angela would struggle for years to close.

Even after the original case was cleared, CPS continued investigating the family, referencing school-related incidents involving her youngest daughter, none of which led to charges or concrete findings. But somehow, the agency remained embedded in their lives.

Removed Without Warning

One day, Angela received a call that changed her life. Her children were removed from their school without prior notice or consent. CPS had taken them into custody and placed them into separate homes: one in foster care, the other in kinship care.

“They didn’t even let me say goodbye,” Angela recalls.
“I didn’t get a phone call. No documents. No explanation. Nothing. Just gone.”

Angela describes this as a “snatching” like her children were kidnapped in broad daylight, by people with badges and unchecked authority.

A Legal System That Left Her Powerless

When the case reached court, Angela expected to be heard. Instead, she felt like a bystander in her own life. The lawyer appointed to her by the court showed little interest in advocating for her.

“She acted more like a representative of CPS than my own attorney,” Angela says.
“I was silenced in hearings, brushed off, and constantly told to be patient. But how can a mother be patient when her babies are suffering?”

Angela reached out to advocacy organizations, including her local NAACP, but was often met with hesitation or flat-out refusal.

“People didn’t want to touch the case. It was too ‘controversial,’ they said. Too risky.”

Fulfilling Requirements, Yet Still Being Denied

Angela followed every instruction CPS gave her.
✅ She moved out of a toxic relationship.
✅ She secured safe, stable housing.
✅ She attended parenting courses and court-ordered sessions.

Still, CPS never conducted a home inspection. Reunification seemed as far away as ever.

“They kept finding reasons to delay. One time, my visitation was suspended for giving my daughter a notebook full of affirmations. A gift, nothing more.”

The Emotional Toll of Separation

Every day without her daughters is a day filled with grief, anger, and anxiety.

Angela says she lives in a state of emotional exhaustion, cycling through guilt, shame, isolation, and overwhelming sadness.

“I go to therapy. I pray. I journal. But nothing replaces the sound of their voices. The smell of their hair. The feeling of their arms around me.”

Her daughters constantly ask when they can come home, or when they’ll see each other again. Angela can’t give them an answer because she hasn’t been given one herself.

Exposing the System's Flaws

Angela believes her story is part of a much larger, systemic issue.

“CPS claims to protect children, but sometimes, they do more harm than good.”

She cites major flaws in the system:

  • False allegations treated as fact

  • Lack of transparency in investigations

  • Disproportionate impact on Black families

  • Lawyers who are overloaded and under committed

  • No meaningful checks and balances on CPS authority

A Call to Other Mothers in Crisis

Angela wants her pain to become a roadmap for other mothers walking the same path. She urges them to:

  • Document everything: Calls, emails, court dates—keep receipts.

  • Stay emotionally composed: Don’t let anger become ammunition.

  • Learn your rights: Research state policies and legal options.

  • Find true advocates: Look for attorneys and nonprofits who specialize in parental rights.

  • Don’t stop fighting: Even if it feels hopeless.

What Needs to Change

Angela’s message to lawmakers, judges, and policymakers is clear:

  • Create independent oversight for CPS cases.

  • Ensure due process for families from day one.

  • Tackle racial bias in child welfare practices.

  • Provide support services before resorting to removal.

  • Hold caseworkers accountable for misconduct.

A Final Word: From a Mother to the World

Angela is still fighting. Her daughters are still waiting. And the system is still silent.

“I want my girls to know I never gave up on them. No matter what anyone says, I’m their mother—and they deserve to come home.”

At TeflonRadio, we believe stories like Angela’s matter. They deserve a microphone. They deserve justice. And they deserve change.
