Every now and then, you get an opportunity to pause, reflect, and truly share your journey in a way that connects with people on a deeper level. That’s exactly what happened when I was invited to be a guest on the Candid Talk Podcast with Anthony “Train” Johnson.

If you know me, then you know I’m usually the one in the host seat, whether it’s The Art of Reinvention Show or The Spotlight Insider. I’ve spent years creating platforms that inspire and provoke thought. In fact, Anthony has been a guest on both of those shows. But this time, the roles were reversed. He gave me the chance to sit back, answer the questions, and pour into his audience. And let me tell you, it was a powerful experience.

Why This Interview Stood Out

Anthony isn’t just a host, he’s a masterful conversationalist. His Candid Talk Podcast lives up to its name because he knows how to ask the type of questions that make you dig deeper. From the very beginning, he made me feel at home, and that allowed me to open up in ways I don’t always get the chance to.

This wasn’t just another interview; it was real talk about life, purpose, and perseverance.

What We Covered

The conversation touched on some of the most important chapters of my life and career, including:

  • The Power of Social Media 📱
I shared how social platforms have helped me connect with audiences around the world, build my brand, and spread positivity. This topic was especially timely, since I’ve recently been nominated for “Best Social Media Account,” an honor that reminds me why I started creating in the first place: to inspire and uplift others.

  • My Inspiration for Influencing & Podcasting 🎙️
We discussed what drove me to launch my own shows and why podcasting became the perfect way to combine storytelling, inspiration, and community impact.

  • My Brain Tumor Journey 💡
In 2024, I faced one of the toughest battles of my life when I underwent a craniotomy to remove a brain tumor. On the show, I opened up about how that experience reshaped my perspective, fueled my mission, and inspired my upcoming podcast, “I Have A What?! Surviving a Brain Tumor.” This will be an audio-only series where I dive deeper into that journey and share stories meant to bring hope and healing to others going through struggles of their own.

  • Legacy and the Future 🚀
We also talked about what’s next for me, including a brand new radio show called The Jump Start on TeflonRadio, designed to motivate listeners first thing in the morning with positivity, inspiration, and real talk.

Why This Episode Matters

What made this episode special is that it wasn’t just about content creation, it was about life. From social media to health battles to legacy building, our conversation was packed with gems that I believe anyone can benefit from.

It reminded me that sometimes you don’t just create content for yourself; you create it for the people who need to hear it. And if just one person listens and feels encouraged, then it’s worth it.

Salute to Anthony “Train” Johnson

I have to give major props to Anthony for not only hosting me, but for building Candid Talk Podcast into a platform that gives creators and community leaders space to share their truth. It’s not easy building a show, but he’s doing it with purpose, and I was honored to contribute to that.

Final Thoughts

Between being nominated for Best Social Media Account, preparing to launch I Have A What?! Surviving a Brain Tumor, and getting ready to debut my new radio show The Jump Start on TeflonRadio, this is an exciting season in my life. But what I value most is the opportunity to share these stories with people who might find hope, motivation, or even just a reminder to keep going.
